Free Drive-Thru COVID-19 Testing in Walsenburg Tomorrow

If you missed today's free drive-thru COVID-19 testing in Walsenburg, don't worry - tests are being carried out tomorrow (Monday) as well. With Christmas just days away, it's extra important to know if you need to quarantine.


The health department along with Huerfano County and the City of Walsenburg have scheduled FREE COVID-19 Community Drive Thru Testing at the Train Depot at 400 Main St. on Monday, December 21 from 8:00am to 5:00pm.

If you have been tested before, it is okay to come and get tested again.

General Testing Information:

  • The testing site is open to anybody who wishes to be tested.

  • Testing is free.

  • No Appointment is required.

  • No physician order or insurance is required.

  • No email, No Problem - Staff at the test site will register you onsite

  • This is a drive-thru testing facility, individuals tested must be inside an enclosed vehicle for safety. No walk-ups or motorcycles are allowed through the testing site.

  • The site is open to neighboring counties.

  • When going to the community testing site, a nasal swab sample is collected by MAKO staff. Testing will be provided to individuals 2 years of age or older.
