Last week, the United States National Guard carried out extensive COVID-19 testing at Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center / Spanish Peaks Veterans Community Living Center in Walsenburg. The tests were performed as part of Colorado’s initiative to screen residents and staff at all long-term care and nursing facilities in the state.
We are thrilled to announce that out of 282 tests performed on-site, we had ZERO positive results. In other words, we had ZERO cases of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) among residents and staff!
We extend our sincere gratitude to the U.S. National Guard for this monumental effort and their dedication to all of us in Colorado. We also want to take this opportunity to commend the entire team for their diligent adherence to COVID-19 safety protocols over the past several months – both at work and away. Lastly, we must share our gratitude for our residents and their families on so many levels. We know how difficult it has been to temporarily give up cherished visitations with loved ones, but these results are truly worth the sacrifices so many have made.
Thank you, Huerfano County for your support and we hope you share in our celebration of this outstanding news!
